What is true beauty?

Hello everyone! I hope that everyone is having an amazing day. I know that it has literally been forever since I have posted but life has just been so crazy with school, dance and everything else. Today I wanted to take time to focus on how our beauty is found in Christ alone. We don’t need to compare ourselves to others, we are all uniquely made in the image of God. Everywhere I look there is always something publicizing how you can become “prettier, you be thought of higher if you do this, etc.” None of this is true, you my dear are made in the image of God and loved by your creator. We tend to criticize what we see in the mirror, and that is not right. I myself look at myself in the mirror and sometimes wish that I could look totally different. It totally 100% matters what is on the inside rather than what is on the outside. It does not matter how much makeup you wear of if you are wearing designer clothes or shoes. All that matters is that you are loved and endowed by your creator. One of my favorite verses to go along with this topic is Psalm 139:14

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (NIV)

I hope that everyone has an amazing rest of their day. Sorry for not being as active, I hope to be more active it is just that my schedule is so crazy.

Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It's about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and a pretty soul. – Unknown

Song of the day: my current favorite is "Where I Belong" by Justin Gambino. I would totally recommend listening to it. It is just plain old amazing. ❤

Why is love so Important?

This past Sunday in church we studied 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. 1 Corinthians 13 is one of my favorite chapters in the bible. This was one of my favorites sermons that they have done because it was so eye opening.  Society today tends to focus more on themselves and tend to mix up love and lust, some may think that it is the same thing. But that is not the truth at all, they are basically the complete opposite. Love will last forever, lust won’t. Love is a selfless thing but lost is only focusing on ourselves. Love Never Fails. Love is like the glue that holds everything and everyone together.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
– 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Without love everything is pointless.

Today the guest speaker told us to try to put out names in front of each section of the verse. “Alia is patient, Alia is kind, Alia does not envy………….” Then she challenged us to think about what we need to work on in our own lives. I thought that is was an amazing way to do just that. But we are all human, we all make mistakes, we are a selfish culture, and we need to let God in our lives so that we can change that. It is hard as human to know what heaven is really like we need to look at Jesus.
As they ended the service with this passage,
“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. Greek see face to face. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.”
1 Corinthians 13:11-12

Oh how I love that every version of the bible is exactly the same, but I especially like how these verses were worded in the (NLT) version. So I hope that everyone had an amazing Sunday and I hope that you have an amazing week. Good luck to everyone who starts school this week. I know that everyone will do amazing. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone.

The Word

This morning I sat outside enjoying the fresh breeze, hearing birds chirping and reading God’s word. Today I read John 1:1-14 (passage is below) and this is one of my favorite passages I have read. In John 1:1-14 God was talking about the word, how the word has been with mankind ever since the beginning. The three verses that stood out to me were John 1:11-13 which says “The light came to his own people, and his own people didn’t welcome him. But those who did welcome him, those who believed in his name, he authorized to become God’s children, born not from blood nor from human desire or passion, but born from God.” The one big thing that I got out of these verses is that mankind is all sinful, we all make mistakes but as Christians we need to make the choice to glorify God with what we do. Even though that may be hard at times if we glorify God our life will be so much easier if we give our life to him. As Christians we are to live by the word. No matter what culture says we need to let our life’s glorify God. One way that you can apply this to your life by embracing God’s word and let God use you. Let God use you to bring non-believers to Christ or to live your life for him. So always remember that God loves you and that he will always be there for you no matter what.

John 1:1-14 ( Common English Bible )
In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God
and the Word was God.
The Word was with God in the beginning.
Everything came into being through the Word,
and without the Word
nothing came into being.
What came into being
through the Word was life,Or Everything came into being through the Word,/and without the Word / nothing came into being that came into being. In the Word was life
and the life was the light for all people.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness doesn’t extinguish the light.
A man named John was sent from God. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning the light, so that through him everyone would believe in the light. 8He himself wasn’t the light, but his mission was to testify concerning the light.
The true light that shines on all people
was coming into the world.
The light was in the world,
and the world came into being through the light,
but the world didn’t recognize the light.
The light came to his own people,
and his own people didn’t welcome him.
But those who did welcome him,
those who believed in his name,
he authorized to become God’s children,
born not from blood
nor from human desire or passion,
but born from God.
The Word became flesh
and made his home among us.
We have seen his glory,
glory like that of a father’s only son,
full of grace and truth.
Hopefully you have made it all the way to here, if you did, tell me what you learned from this passage in the comments.

I am not ashamed

  • imageHello beautiful world changers! 💓🌻☀️ I hope that everyone has had an amazing week so far. Qotd: is there anything crazy that has happened to you this week. I have had a pretty typical week but I was running on little sleep. (I think that is the crazy part) Today I wanted to talk about not being ashamed. As Christians we should not be ashamed to love God. He died in public to save our sins, so that doesn’t mean we only worship him in private. We are to go out worship the Lord and share his love with others. I have to admit I have not been so good at reading my bible, and talking to God recently. I have always got caught up in the “social media world” rather than talking to God. My challenge for everyone to end out this week and starting the next week is to spend more time with God rather than spending more time on your phone. Always trust in God because he always knows what is best for you. Never be ashamed of loving God. 💓
    Romans 1:6
” I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. ”
    Have an amazing weekend!

Love Never Fails

Hello lovelies! I am so sorry that it has been a super long time since I have blogged, but from being locked out of my account and being busy 24/7 it has been hard to write. Well from now on I am going to be trying to write more, but no promises. Today I just wanted to encourage y’all, because I always love encouraging people. If you are feeling down not loved, or don’t have confidence in yourself, this is the perfect blog post for you to read tonight.

1 Corinthians 13 –

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
I have always struggled with body image, thinking I need to look a certain way, dress a certain way, act a certain way etc. But I have been slowly learning that, that those are all very wrong. We don’t need to act, dress, or look a certain way, God has all created us differently and why should we want to change that. We should love ourselves knowing that there is no one out there exactly like you. God loves each and everyone of us very much (I know that you have probably heard this a million times) but it is very true. I always like to tell why I chose the title that I did. I chose “Love Never Fails” because it is true love never fails. God loves all of us just the way that we are, and we should try not to change that. My challenge for everyone this week is to be themselves (doesn’t seem that hard, right?) I hope that this week you will go out of your comfort zone, learn something that you did not know about yourself before.
I hope that everyone has an amazing week! Remember that every day is a fresh start. Please feel free to share this with your loved ones. Also qotd should always put verses at the beginning of my blogs. Also should I start a blog schedule. Comment down below. See you lovelies in another post!
P.S. If you have any blog post ideas please message me in some way or comment below) Sorry for all the questions.

Books Books Books…….

So today is going to be something a little different. As many of you know I love to read, but it is always so difficult to find a book that does not swear or have anything deemed “inappropriate” Until I found out about Livy Jarmusch. So today I am partnering with her and I am going to be doing a review on a very special book. It is called “The Coronation” By Livy Jarmusch! She is releasing the book in 3 days guys! I am so excited for everyone else to read this book!

By far this is one of my favorite books I have ever read. This is going to be a really fun review to write because there were so many good things about the book. There is so much to write about the book but yet some of it is just so hard to put into words, but I will try. The book focuses on a Royal Family and their life. As I read on during the story I felt like I actually knew the characters in real life.During the book there are so many plot twists and it always leaves me on the edge on my seat, you will never see it coming, or expect it. It is so easy to relate to the characters. That is one of my favorite things about books, when you can relate to the character, especially as a teenage girl.  I don’t want to give to much away because I want everyone to be on the edge of the seat like me when reading The Coronation. Overall I would totally recommend purchasing this book when it comes out on July 6, 2017.

So I know that this blog post is a little bit different but I was just so excited to share it with everyone. I don’t know if I should start on the occasion reviewing books. Comment below what you think, and happy fourth of July Eve!

This was a very special weekend my cousin because on June 25, 2017 she got baptized. I always love seeing people declaring their love for Christ. I talked to her before had and she was extremely nervous, I couldn’t blame her, but yet she still did it. I hope that throughout her walk with Christ she has a stronger relationship with him. So before they did the baptisms they had a little sermon. (it was really good) He talked about how we are dead before we have Christ and I had never really thought of it like that before. The passage that he read was Ephesians 2:1-10 it says

” As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you use to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might  show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace, you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ”

No one knows when Christ is coming but we just always need to believe in him. We are to declare publicly our love for Christ. That is what baptism is for and it is a perfect way to show that you are dedicating your love for Christ. Today is a new week, make that change if you have not already, give your life to Christ, it is the best this that will ever happen to you. New day, fresh start.
